Richie este atat unul dintre favoritii mei , cat si al multora dintre cei ce asculta acest stil , in ceea ce priveste masa de DJ cu care avem contact din ce in ce mai mult pe zi ce trece .
De cinci ani, Richie s-a mutat la Berlin, unde a gasit o retea de DJ si producatori cu care comunica foarte bine, iar multe dintre seturile lui din ultimii ani au fost alaturi de Magda sau de Ricardo Villalobos .
Pe Villalobos il cunoscuse cu zece ani in urma, dar de-abia in ultimii doi-trei ani si-au dat seama ca au foarte multe in comun si au ajuns prieteni. Un set al celor doi, impreuna cu DJ Sneak, inregistrat la T in The Park, constituie Essential Mix-ul de la inceputul lunii iulie .

Desi cu origini în Anglia si Canada, Richie Hawtin este strans legat de peisajul techno din Detroit, unde este vazut la acelasi nivel cu Kenny Larkin, Stacey Pullen, Eddie Fowlkes si Derrick May .
